Frequently Asked Questions About My practice

My office is based in Orange county California, close to the John Wayne airport. I see clients both online and in person. I see telehealth clients all over the state, from San Francisco to San Diego.

Let’s figure out if we are a good fit. Contact me to book a 20 minute consultation.

Yes, I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. During our consultation, we’ll decide together whether in-person or telehealth would be the best fit for your needs. Telehealth is simply another way to engage in therapy, much like an in-person session, but conducted over phone or video. However, if you are a couple or a family looking for online sessions, I may not be the right fit for you. I’d be happy to provide you with referrals to other therapists who specialize in online couple’s therapy if that would be helpful.

Full payment by credit or debit card is due at the end of each session. Your payment information will be collected before your initial appointment and securely saved for future sessions. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide monthly invoices (superbills) to help you utilize any out-of-network insurance coverage you may have. For more information, please see the section on insurance and superbills below.

Please note that if you are seeking therapy as a couple or family, your insurance may not cover these sessions. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide monthly invoices (superbills) should you wish to explore any available out-of-network coverage. For additional information, please see the section on insurance and superbills below.

No, I do not take insurance at this time. I recommend calling your insurance provider to confirm if they reimburse for out-of-network therapists (me), as this can vary. If your plan does offer reimbursement, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance monthly. Please keep in mind that insurance companies require a diagnosis on superbills, even for out-of-network claims. Note: This option is usually available with PPO plans but is less common with HMO plans.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. If you do not notify me at least 48 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full payment of the missed session. The credit card on file will be charged for any no-show or late cancellation fees. However, if you are able to reschedule your session within the same week, there will be no cancellation fee.
Yes, but there’s no need to worry about this until after our consultation call. Before your first appointment, you’ll receive a brief intake packet to complete. No paperwork is needed for the initial consultation
